Homer Reese Crowder, 88 Greencastle, IN passed away on June 3rd, 2018.

Homer was born in Gallatin Tennessee, October 4th, 1929 to William and Nannie Crowder (Cardwell).

Homer grew up on a farm, a hard worker, without power tractors, home lighting or running water. He served in Germany, post-World War 2 and worked 40 years for Allison Transmission.

A straightforward and uncomplicated man with a strong, simple faith. He reflected God’s love and Jesus’ message of salvation. He was a member of Abundant Life, Lighthouse Tabernacle and Life Builder Church. Homer’s unassuming, yet steady presence touched many lives, and will truly be missed by family, friends and church.

He is survived by his daughter, Denise and step-daughter Carol; along with grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Homer is preceded by his wife Dorothy, his brother James, stepbrothers and his step-daughter Sharon.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 at noon with visitation from 11a.m. until the time of service at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250 and burial to immediately follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown, IN.
